Shraddha Kapoor is currently gearing up for her upcoming movie “Haseena Parkar”, which is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Nahid Khan. The movie features Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, her real life brother Siddhanth Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of Dawood Ibrahim, and Ankur Bhatia will be playing the role of Haseena’s husband. The biopic will be based on the life of Haseena.
About her upcoming movie ‘Haseena Parkar’, Shraddha says that she has gone through many look tests before she got the role to play Haseena Parkar. The movie director Apoorva Lakhia says that before starting the movie he has a lot of research and he got to know some unbelievable facts about Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena. About this Shraddha says, “It’s a process and every single day we used to discuss how Haseena Parkar should come alive on the screen.” She added, “Apoorva said to get into the skin of the character, it is important I look like her and so we tried out many things. I hope everyone enjoys when they see the film.”
The makers have recently released the romantic song from the movie featuring Shraddha Kapoor along with her on-screen husband Ankur Bhatia. The song is sung by Arijit Singh and will instantly tug at your heart and would turn off all your imaginations. In the song, Shraddha’s character is young and naive. Her husband is attracted towards her and the feelings are mutual.
About the movie, director Apoorva said that the trailer of his upcoming movie ‘Haseena Parkar’ seems to be a very violent and action oriented story, but it is not. Haseena was married to her elder brother’s best friend Ibrahim who not only ran a restaurant but in his free time used to work as a stunt man in Bollywood. Apoorva added, “They were madly in love and she was married at a very young age. She had a beautiful marriage and she lost her husband at a young age. This song is by Sachin and Jigar and we thought this would be an ideal song to show the world a softer side of Haseena Parkar because when she was young she was very romantic but her circumstances were what got her where she reached.”
In the movie, Shraddha will be seen playing a title role along with her real life brother Siddhanth Kapoor. The movie will show Haseena’s life from 17 to 40 years old.
“Haseena Parkar” will be scheduled to release on September 22.
