Shruti Hasan will be in the cast of USA network series “TREADPOST” based in the Jason Bourne Universe. Ben Smith, a producer of the ‘Bourne’ franchise, has co-created the series with Tim Kring.
Working in a TREADPOST series could be marked as digital International Debut of an Indian actress Shruti Hasan. After leaving her remarkable impact of acting in India. She is boarding a flight for an international audience.
Shruti will be playing the role of a waitress job serves as a cover for a dangerous double life as a trained assassin, named Nira Patel, a girl from Delhi.
Along with her actors Michelle Forbes, Patrick Fugit, Michael Gaston, and Tess Haubrich, Jeremy Irvine and Brian J. Smith have also boarded the cast.
The series will follow the concept of a behavior-modification program to break down the assassins’ morality and make them effective nearly unstoppable living weapons. After the morality breaks down, presumably, the assassins received advanced training in all kinds of spy tradecraft.
The first season will be wake up call for the sleeping agents around the globe, arousing them to resume their deadly mission.
The production work has already been started in Budapest, The pilot episode will be directed by Ramin Bahrani.
