The release date of the upcoming film of Ayushmann Khurrana Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has been pushed back. The film will now be released in the month of love that is on 21st Februrary 2020.

The film went on the floors in September and was initially scheduled to hit the screens of cinema halls on 13th March 2020.

Since the time of its announcement, there has been a lot of buzz around the film which is spin-off of 2017 sleeper hit film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.

The cast announcement video of the film grabbed a lot of attention of the people. The fans were happy to see Badhai Ho cast – Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Ayushmann Khurrana back together.

While the first installment was about a newly engaged couple dealing with erectile dysfunction, the 2020 release will bring the subject of homosexuality on the big screen.

Speaking about the change of release date, Anand L Rai who is producing the film with Bhushan Kumar told Pune Mirror that It is a complete family film and they want to meet the audience soon. “We have now decided to release the film in the month of February, which is also the month of love,” said Rai alluding to Valentine’s Day.

The change means that Anurag Basu’s next starring Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur slated for February 21 release  also co-produced by Bhushan Kumar will be moved to March 13.

Talking about the change, Bhushan Kumar said,“Aanand Ji and Anurag, both have been very supportive with the change. And both the films are interesting, catering to families across all ages. We are ready to give the audience an adventurous ride with both these films.”

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a romantic comedy film that tells the story of a conservative family coming to terms with the homosexuality of their son. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitenra Kumar as his love interest.

The film also reunite Ayushmann with his Badhai Ho on screen parents Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao.

Directed and written by Hitesh Kewalaya, the film is produced by Aanand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar under their respective banners Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series.
