The shoot of the upcoming film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was wrapped last month in Varanasi where the film had been extensively shot. But the team of this Ayushmann Khurrana starrer is set to meet again in Mumbai to shoot a special song, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror.

The makers will be recreating the popular 2011 Punjabi song, “Gabru”, which was composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh. They have already bought the rights to the song and will start shooting for it soon. “It will be shot over a period of four to five days at a studio in Mumbai with Ayushmann, his on-screen partner, Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and the rest of the cast,” a source close to the development told the news daily.

The source further added that the song is a family dance number, and unlike most of the recreations today, this one will be a part of the narrative.

The song will be recreated by Tanishk Bagchi who has recreated a number of old hit songs such as Dilbar for Satyameva Jayate, Tu Laung Main Elaachi for Luka Chuppi, O Saki Saki for Batla House. It will be choreographed by Bosco Martis of the popular Bosco–Caesar duo.

Talking about the special song, Bagchi said, “We will retain the feel of the track and add something special for music lovers. I am excited to be working on this track.”

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a spin-off of 2017 film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. While the first film was about a newly engaged couple dealing with erectile dysfunction, the upcoming film is about a same-sex couple and their families coming to terms with their relationship.

Directed and written by Hitesh Kewalaya, the film is produced by Aanand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar under their respective banners Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series. It is scheduled to be released on 21 February 2020.
