Shweta Tiwari to make entry into the digital world with ALTBalaji’s ‘Hum, Tum and Them’

TV star Shweta Tiwari is making her digital debut with ALTBalaji’s love story ‘Hum, Tum and Them’. She is back in front of the rolling camera after three years. The actress will be seen opposite Akshay Oberoi and the shoot for the series has already begun. The web series will be directed by Tony and Deeya Singh’s DJs a Creative Unit.

Talking about her comeback, Shweta in a statement said, “I am happy to return to my first love. I have only shot for one day, and I realized I missed being in front of the camera. The shoot didn’t require much time as we were filming in Mumbai. Since I had not done a web series, this seemed like the perfect opportunity.”

Interestingly, both the lead actors of the series had no idea about each other. While Shweta confessed that she googled Akshay before meeting him, Akshay also revealed that he didn’t have even a slight hint of Shweta’s fame.

The actor shared, “I am uneducated about the telly world. Although I didn’t know Shweta, I was quickly made aware of how big a star she is. It is an honor to be working with her. I am now catching up on her past work”.

Shweta was last seen on the small screen in SONY TV’s ‘Parvarrish’ in which she played the role of a mother. The actress took a short break to bring up her son. She rose to fame after her Television debut ‘Kasautii Zindagii Ki’ and she became a popular household name for her role as Prerna Sharma.

Akshay appeared in ALTBalaji’s earlier web drama ‘The Test Case’ and was last seen on the big screen in Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga‘.
