Bollywood actors Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, who worked together in the 2014 romantic comedy Hasee Toh Phasee, are all set to sizzle up the screen with their chemistry once again. The duo will be pairing up for Ekta Kapoor’s next movie. Hasee Toh Phasee was not only a massive box office hit, Sidharth and Parineeti’s on-screen pairing was applauded a lot by the audience.
According to a reports, the upcoming movie will now be titled Jabariya Jodi. Earlier, it was reported that the film has been titled Shotgun Shaadi. Talking about the name change a source said that the film is based on pakadwa vivaah and the makers felt that this was an apt name. “In Bhojpuri, jabariya means zabardasti, so the title refers to a couple who is forced to get married. The two actors have also shot for the posters before leaving for Lucknow, so they should be out soon,” said the sources.
Interestingly, the title of the film was suggested by Siddharth himself. The source further revealed that the actor came across this word during the reading and shared it with the team, who liked it instantly. In the movie, Sidharth will be portraying the role of a Bihari thug.
Talking about working with Parineeti again, Sidharth told, “It’s an exciting film for both of us to come back together as a couple on screen. This movie has a mix of humour and good content.”
“After Tanu Weds Manu, this is a story which is coming from the heartland of India and I love to bring such stories on big screen. It has strong and colourful characters. Parineeti and Sidharth are going to surprise the audience in Jabariya Jodi.” said producer Shaailesh R Singh.
The actors have reportedly shot for the posters before leaving for Lucknow so they are expected to be unveiled soon.
