Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra, who recently appeared as the quintessential Hindi film hero in Marjaavaan, is all set to reunite with the team again for a new film, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror. The actor will be collaborating with Bhushan Kumar, Nikhil Advani and Milap Zaveri for a South remake which will be in the commercial space.
The report also revealed that Malhotra and the team were discussing the possibilities of a new film even before the release of Marjaavaan in November 2019. Recently, Bhushan approached Sidharth with a new action film which is being scripted by Milap. Sid has shown interest in the subject and the makers are working towards developing the script further.”
The source further revealed that the makers are currently completing the formalities related to the remake rights. The untitled film will go on the floors towards the second half of the year, after the script is locked and a director is brought on board. It will also have Dil Raju as producer. Raju is known for his work in Telugu cinema which includes films like Arya, Bhadra, Bommarillu, Parugu, Kotha Bangaru Lokam, and others. His 2017 film Sathamanam Bhavati won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra recently wrapped up the shoot of SherShaah which is based on the life of Kargil Martyr Captain Vikram Batra and also features Kiara Advani. Directed by Vishnuvardhan and written by Sandeep Srivastava, the biographical action drama film is produced by Karan Johar under his banner of Dharma Productions.
He will soon start working for a comedy film that also features Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh and will be directed by Indra Kumar.
