Simmba

It has been eight weeks since Rohit Shetty and Sara Ali Khan starrer ‘Simmba‘ released. It was Ranveer’s highest opener surpassing ‘Padmaavat’ and Rohit Shetty‘s eighth consecutive movie to go past 100 crore mark. And even after eight successful weeks, the film is still running but with minimal collections.

With ₹240 crore net, the film is the tenth highest NETT grosser of all time. The gross earnings of the film have reached to ₹287 crore plus, also the tenth highest ever. According to the Box Office India, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ might surpass the earning of Rohit Shetty directorial soon.

The final figures from around the world are close to ₹394 crore, with $13.65 million which is around ₹97 crore from the overseas market. In the worldwide charts, the film will stand in 11th position.

Rohit Shetty directorial ‘Simmba‘ released almost five weeks ago and had a long and exhausting run at the box office, due to which it has now slowed down. The film’s business dropped by over 80% and collected ₹10 lakhs gross in its eighth week. After the success of this film, Rohit has been nicknamed to Ro-HIT Shetty.

The business is continuously slowing down since the release of Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike‘, as it has been a tough competition. And two other big releases Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika‘ and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Thackeray‘ reduced the screen numbers.
