‘Simmba’ collection: Ranveer starrer slows down after a month, earns ₹1.20 crores in its fifth week

The last released movie of the year 2018 Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer ‘Simmba‘ turned out to be the last blockbuster of the year. It has been over a month and the film is still running and earning in some theatres.

The film has entered 200 crore club days ago and has ₹239 crores net in its account till now. It is expected to close at around ₹250 crores in its box office account.

Movie critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office number of the movie in its fifth week. The film is still earning in crores and collected ₹1.20 crores in its fifth week.

The film did a record-breaking business of ₹150.81 crores in its first week, it slowed down gradually and collected ₹61.62 crores in its second week. The third week was tough as it came across its first competition ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ but still managed to stand strong and earned ₹20.06 crores at the box office. Performance of the movie in its fourth and fifth week can still be considered good as it is competing against two new released and well-received movies, Vicky Kaushal‘s ‘Uri’ and Kangana Ranaut‘s ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi‘.

Taran also broke the film’s business week wise.

The film crossed ₹ 50 crores mark, in three days, ₹ 100 crores mark in just five days, ₹ 150 crores mark in seven days, ₹ 170 crores mark in 10 days and ₹ 200 crores mark in just 12 days. However, it took six days to cross the ₹ 225 crores mark, as the business slowed down after running breathlessly for two whole weeks.
