The ever-patient fans of upcoming movie Simmba were finally treated to a short skit giving them a peek into the drama-filled life of the actors in a video which was uploaded both on the official Twitter account of Dharma Productions, and the personal Instagram account of director Rohit Shetty. Starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role of the movie, with Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan, as the female lead, and Sonu Sood as the antagonist, remake of the Telegu movie Temper, Simmba finally gets a release date of 28th December, 2018.

The video began with Ranveer Singh introducing himself in full Marathi glory as the “three-star police inspector Sangram Bhalerao” and threatening to not spare anyone who dared to interrupt him. However, just as he is about to complete his dialogue, the shot is crashed by director Rohit Shetty who strides up to Ranveer and rebukes him for divulging a dialogue from the script of Simmba. While Ranveer thinks over a proper comeback, actress Sara Ali Khan suddenly appears within the frame, and feigning confusion, asks whether she had arrived at the sets of Singham 3 or not. The scene ends with Rohit and Rahul taking off after teasing Sara by calling her by her mother’s name, and proceeding to get chased off-screen by her.

Soon after the original cast is gone, Karan Johar appears in front of the camera and addresses the viewers, asking them to wait for a few more months to watch the rest of the drama on the theatres of India on the 28th of December. The shooting for the movie had officially begun on Wednesday morning, and it is expected to run ahead of its schedule to begin the post production process as soon as possible
