Meanwhile, Shweta Pandit too tweeted for the same, appreciating Sona Mohapatra and her supporters for taking the #moveoutmalik forward. She wrote, “Thank you @sonamohapatra for spearheading the campaign #MoveOutMalik !! This movement just got stronger.. and our voices, heard! Thank you to all the men, women & media who supported us through and should continue to.. its just a start to bringing change. Its not been easy for us.”

Reportedly, speaking about her victory to the IANS Sona said, “It’s great news. Sony TV took a long time do this but I am happy that he has finally stepped down from the show. It’s a battle of the whole country. There are so many people who did not want to see this person (Malik) flaunting himself on national television because it gives a lot of wrong messages to predators that they can also get away with such a thing.”

“I was fighting for fairness and justice. Now, after hearing this news, I think it is a victory for eveyrbody — not just me but also for all other women who were badly treated by him. It is a symbolic victory. Our fight is not over yet, it’s just a start. We are not going to sit here and let people to take us for granted.”

Well, there couldn’t be a better victory for Sona and all other women singers who accused Malik for sexual misconduct. Last year, after Tanushree Dutta spoke about her horrifying experience in the industry; Sona too came forward and spoke against the unfair. Besides Sona and Shweta, Neha Basin, and other successful women too spoke up against Malik.
