Actress Sonakshi Sinha is currently basking on the super success of her last film ‘Mission Mangal’ which has minted an estimated 288 crores at the box-office.
She is now gearing up for her upcoming release, ‘Dabangg 3’, where she will be reuniting with superstar Salman Khan.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Sonakshi said that playing Rajjo and going back to ‘Dabangg’ feels like homecoming.
“What I am today is because of ‘Dabangg’, there was no looking back for me after that and it will always be the most special film”, Sonakshi said.
Talking about how she bagged her debut film, the actress said that it happened all of a sudden.
Sonakshi was an usher, volunteering through her college for a fashion week when day, Salman, Arbaaz Khan and their entire family came to the event and saw her.
Salman was taken by surprise after seeing her work and asked her salary, which was 3,000 rupees at that time. “He said okay, you will take me up for dinner.” Sonakshi said about Salman, wondering how she will take Salman for dinner with just 3,000.
After that whenever the two met, Salman used to lecture her how she was wasting her talent and she should be an actress.
Eventually few years later, Arbaaz, director Abhinav Kashyap and Salman reached her house and cast her for ‘Dabangg.’
Sonakshi said she now enjoys being in front of camera and playing different characters in films.
‘Dabangg 3’ is the third installment in the ‘Dabangg’ franchise and is directed by Prabhu Deva. The film is scheduled to release on 20 December, 2019.
