Sonakshi Sinha who was last seen recreating ‘Mungda’ song in the latest film ‘Total Dhamaal’, has an interesting character to play in the upcoming film. The film is tentatively titled ‘Khandaani Shafakhaana’, which will mark the directional debut of Shipli Dasgupta.
The film went on floors in January and the shoot is likely to be wrapped by March. According to the reports from Peepingmoon, Sonakshi will essay the role of a young girl from Punjab who works at a sex clinic in Hoshiarpur and Annu Kapoor will be seen as her boss. The film also features rapper Badshah who will make his debut in Bollywood with this film. Varun Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Annu Kapoor, and Nadira Babbar are also the part of the film’s cast. Currently, the cast is busy shooting ‘Khandaani Shafakhaana’ in Punjab.
Talking about her latest film, Sonakshi has earlier revealed, “It’s my director, Shilpi Dasgupta’s debut film, but it doesn’t really feel like one. It’s a wonderful story about a street-smart, independent girl making her way through the many challenges that life throws at her. You can call it a slice-of-life or a coming-of-age film.”
