Much awaited trailer of multi starrer movie ‘Sonchiriya‘ dropped on Monday. The film based on the rebels of Chambal valley will be released on February 8, 2019. The upcoming Indian crime film is directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
The film is rooted in the era of 70s’ during the emergency period in India. Ashutosh Rana is playing the role of a cop who has been given the task to clean Chambal from the dacoits. Almost all the others are a part of dacoit gangs who are later broken into two groups.
The video opens with a radio announcement of emergency in the country, but there is nothing to panic about. All the dacoits are in one house when they are surrounded by police. The video also talks about surrender, Bhumi Pednekar and sister’s character’s protection, and death which does not scare Lakhna (Sushant Singh Rajput) anymore.
The synopsis of the video reads, “हार-जीत. खून-खराबा.बैमानी-बदला. Ek झलक चम्बल ke बाग़ियों ki…” (Winning-losing, bloodshed, cheating-revenge, a glimpse of rebels of Chambal…)
The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shorey in lead characters. Screenplay and the dialogues have been written by Sudip Sharma and the music is given by Vishal Bhardwaj.
