‘No Fathers In Kashmir‘ is helmed by India’s youngest Oscar-nominated and two times national award-winning filmmaker Ashvin Kumar. Recently, the film was in controversy as it faced a roadblock with the CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification). The film ‘No Fathers In Kashmir’ has been given ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. But the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) finally suggested that the film is fit for a U/A certificate after a few cuts and disclaimers are incorporated in the movie.
‘No Fathers In Kashmir’ is based on a life of A teenage British Kashmiri, Noor retraces her roots in search of her father with Majid, a local Kashmiri boy. These playful eyes of love-struck teenagers, in their search, uncover the hidden secrets of the lost fathers of Kashmir.
The film features Soni Razdan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anshuman Jha and Maya Sarao along with Ashvin Kumar.
Soni Razdan’s daughter Alia Bhatt took to her Twitter release the Official teaser of the film ‘No Fathers in Kashmir’ and she wrote, ”What a great bday gift mum @sonirazdan gave me! The teaser of @nofathers_movie #nofathersinkashmir by India’s youngest Oscar nom director @ashvinkumar girl from London meets a boy from Kashmir what a stunning pair these teens make – just can’t wait to see it”.
The film is all set to hit the theatre on April 5.
