Playing a warrior really challenging: Soni Singh!

Soni Singh is an Indian television actress. She made her acting debut with the 2004 television show titled “Tumhari Disha”, where she played the character of Rano. The show was based on the life of a girl name Disha, and the moments that changed her life forever. Later she appeared in many shows like ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann’, ‘Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann’, ‘Teen Bahuraniyaan’, ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ and ‘Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya.’ She played the lead role in the 2008 show titled “Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann.” Soni has even appeared in comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil.

Currently, actress Soni Singh is playing a warrior in the show “Aarambh”, which is an Indian Historical Epic fiction television series produced by Rose Audio Visuals. The story revolves around the rivalry between Dravidians and Aryans. The story is written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad. Soni is essaying the character of ‘Syala’ in the show.

About her role, Soni says, “Playing a female warrior is really challenging and exciting. It’s not a regular drama. It gives you a chance of doing stunts and challenges you as an actor.” She added, “To play Syala in ‘Aarambh’, I’m working out in a gym a lot so that I can look like a warrior. I do heavy weights to look strong on screen. I also need to wear heavy outfits, ornaments and make-up.”
