You can be a great actor but your contribution towards the society will always trump your acting achievements. Sonu Sood is a living example of this fact. The actor has now again helped over 170 migrants to reach their home in Dehradun in Uttarakhand from Mumbai. The actor has funded the AirAsia India flight which flied the workers from Mumbai to Uttarakhand.

In an interview, Sonu said,

“As another charter flight takes flight today, our efforts to help migrant workers stranded in various parts of the country have only grown stronger. “Most of them have never had the opportunity to experience air travel, and the smiles on their faces brings me a lot of joy as they take this AirAsia India flight to reach home to their families and friends.”

Sonu Sood, who has been helping migrants all over the country, also last week arranged a flight for 167 workers stuck in Kerela to reach their home in Odisha. The actor has also helped migrants reach their homes via trains and provided them with meals and protective equipments.

Seeing his contribution, the head of sales and distribution of AirAsia India, Anup Manjeshwar praised Sonu, hailing him as a pillar of strength in such difficult times. He further went on to say,

“With ‘UmeedKiUdaan’ (charter flights for migrants) our efforts are aimed at uniting stranded migrant workers with their families, as the nation battles the pandemic.” This is the sixth charter flight we have undertaken with more on the horizon and we look forward to working with other like-minded individuals and organisations keen on supporting migrant communities, added Manjeshwar.

Sonu Sood is proving that he is indeed a man with a golden heart and a true messiah for the public in times of distress.
