Sooraj Pancholi has recently said he does not expect the film industry to support him in the Jiah Khan suicide case.
The actor got candid at the song launch event of his upcoming movie Satellite Shankar talked about his court trials and revealed how he did not receive any support from the industry.
During a chat with Zoom the actor was asked if he received any support from the film industry. He replied, “I do not expect the support from them. Why would they want to help support me?”
On being asked about Salman Khan who launched him, the actor said, “I do not involve him in this at all. It is not his business to deal with this. I have my family and friends that are there for me.”
Sooraj Pancholi was romantically involved with the actress Jiah Khan who committed suicide in 2013. Allegations were made against Pancholi and a court case has been going on since then.
The actor also said it is high time that the complainants come to court as it is their duty to prove him guilty since they have accused him and not his job to prove himself innocent.
Sooraj Pancholi, the son of yesteryear actor Aditya Pancholi and the critically acclaimed actress Zarina Wahab made his debut in the 2015 romantic film Hero which was a remake of the superhit 1983 film of the same name. The film as well as his performance did not receive much acclaim.
The actor who started off as an assistant director on films such as Guzaarish and Ek Tha Tiger is all set to be seen in his next film Satellite Shankar.
The action drama film shows the extraordinary journey of a soldier that brought a nation together. The movie is written and directed by Irfan Kamal and bankrolled by Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd and Cine 1 Studios. The film is expected to hit the cinema halls on 15 Nov this year.
