Sridevi is busy promoting her upcoming Indian thriller movie “Mom”, which is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor. The film stars Sridevi, Akshaye Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in lead roles, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a special appearance. Music for the film is being scored by A. R. Rahman.
During the promotion of her movie, Sridevi shared how her elder daughter (Jhanvi Kapoor) reacted to the film. She said,”My younger one, Khushi, hasn’t seen the movie. She has seen some parts and has loved it. But Janhvi saw the whole movie. Her first reaction was that she came up to me and just hugged me. She couldn’t speak. It was overwhelming. And I felt nice about it. I was happy that the film had really moved her.”
Talking about the movie, Sridevi said,”Yes, it’s a very special film. Every film that I do is close to my heart but Mom is most special. It’s a thriller, suspense, emotional drama, a family film – all put into one,” She even said about her co-stars Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui that, “Both Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna are great actors. Akshaye is very quiet otherwise, but when he gives a shot to the camera, he’s amazing. He has a strong personality. When it comes to Nawazuddin, I am a huge admirer of his. I have seen all his films and I wonder how he can portray so many different kinds of characters! I am really happy working with him.”
‘Mom’ will hit the screens on July 7.
