‘Mom’ is the 300th film of Sridevi. It is an upcoming Indian thriller film which is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Mukesh Talreja, Naresh Agarwal and Gautam Jain. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in lead roles, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a special appearance. Music for the film is being scored by A. R. Rahman.
The team of ‘Mom’ has released a second trailer in which the actress looks totally determined and filled with rage, to punish the offenders in the movie.There is a scene where Sridevi and Nawazuddin are seen having an interesting conversation and that’s the main highlight of it. Their powerful exchange of dialogues will leave you wanting for more. The trailer gives us the glimpse to revenge drama that is going to happen. As the name suggests, Sridevi plays a mother in the film who is on a mission to take revenge from those who have mistreated her step – daughter. The film portrays the journey of a mother as she fights between two wrongs, all to protect her daughter and the rest of her family. All is fair in love and war…and when you’re a mother!
Talking about the plotline, the filmmaker had said initially, “It’s about a familial relationship. Irrespective of which part of the world you live, family is special and we’d do anything to protect our loved ones.”
The film is slated to release on July 7.
