SS Rajamouli’s directorial Pan-Indian film RRR, featuring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, hails to be the fifth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide.

Helmed by SS Rajamouli, RRR crosses Rs 900 crore business in 10 days. Overtaking Amir Khan’s PK, the magnum opus trails Secret Superstar now. As the film is getting immense love from the audience, it continues to dominate the box office.

RRR: Fifth Highest-Grossing Indian Film Beating Amir Khan’s PK

Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starrer revolutionary drama RRR is inching towards Rs 1000 crore business. The film is steady to cross more than 1000 crores within this weekend. The film has acquired the position of the 5th highest-grossing Indian film overtaking PK’s lifetime collection.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR depicts the journey of two legendary revolutionaries who fought against the British during the pre-independence time. Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, respectively, the film also features Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles.

Reportedly, the action drama has made a massive budget at the box office crossing over Rs 900 crores.

Top 5 Highest-Grossing Indian Films

The box office figures of RRR have surpassed Amir Khan’s PK. Now, SS Rajamouli’s directorial trails Secret Superstar with a collection of Rs 966.86 crores.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to Twitter to share the success of RRR overtaking the massive hit of 2014 PK. He even shared a list of the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films.

According to the reports, only four films have more earnings than Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starrer RRR. Below is the list of the top 5 highest-grossing Indian films.

1. Dangal – ₹ 2,024 crores

2. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion – ₹ 1,810 crores

3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – ₹ 969.06 crores

4. Secret Superstar – ₹ 966.86 crores

5. RRR – ₹ 900 crores

Trade analysts have estimated that Rajamouli’s RRR should attain up to the third position. However, crossing the figures of Baahubali 2 and Dangal is out of its reach.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is the third hit of 2022, following Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Vivek Agnihotri’s surprise hit The Kashmir Files.

John Abraham’s starrer Attack has recently been released which couldn’t make much of an impact at the box office. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey and Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 are scheduled to hit the theatres on April 14.
