Starring Bollywood biggies is not surety for success anymore, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is a live example

For all of them, who were very excited about ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, the desi pirates of Caribbean, because of its grand sets, Katrina’s dance, Fatima’s dimple, Perfectionist Amir khan, Bollywood legend Big B and the fact that it claimed to be the most expensive film till date, here is a bad news. The film is the biggest flop of all times.

The film failed to earn even three crores during last weekend. Such a condition was not expected from Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starer. Meanwhile Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Badhaai Ho’ even after weeks of its release is still in business.

According to Sunday’s Box Office earning Thugs of Hindostan merely collected Rs 2.46 crores whereas Badhaai Ho earned Rs 2.15 crores, only 31 lakhs less than the former.

If the current trend continues the ‘Badhaai Ho’ will keep doing its business the release of Ranjikant’s ‘Robot 2.0’ on 29 November and might add Rs 5-7 crores to its total collection.

As of ‘Thugs’, it might not survive till then even.
