Stars join Cate Blanchett In ‘Armageddon Time’. Oscar Isaac, Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro join James Gray’s film

A pool of acting talent are coming together for an exciting film ‘Armageddon Time’. James Gray of Ad Astra fame is helming the project. The cast of the film includes actors such as, Cate Blanchett, Robert De Niro, Oscar Isaac and Anne Hathaway.

The film is based on Gray’s own childhood memories and is a coming-of-age drama set in the 1980’s in Queens, New York. Themes of friendship and loyalty with the backdrop of America electing President Ronald Reagan will be seen.

Further, it will reminisce Gray’s upbringing in Queens and his time at private school Kew-Forrest, whose alumnae are Donald Trump and Hank Azaria. It is also going to feature actor, Donald Sutherland, who had starred in Gray’s Ad Astra.

An original screenplay written by Gray himself is to be directed by him, with Rodrigo Teixeira producing the film. His production company is RT Features. Lourenco Sant’Anna and Rodrigo Gutierrez will serve as executive producers.

Describing his intention of making the film as political and warm to the ‘Deadline’, Gray went on to say that he also wants it to be historic and filled with love.

The film certainly looks like an ensemble to look forward to.
