After sharing a number of posters recently, the makers of the upcoming film Street Dancer 3D have finally dropped the trailer of the film today. The two minutes fifty two seconds long video features the lead cast of the film Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Norah Fatehi, and Prabhbudeva.

It starts with the bait of India-Pakistan rivalry on cricket ground and the enthusiasm it brings for the people. Varun Dhawan in a voice over says, “Whenever India and Pakistan come face to face whether on cricket field or dance battle, it will be entertaining. And, the first rule of my life is to never be on number two.” While he is saying this, the visuals move from the cricket stadium to shirtless Dhawan in the water.

We then see Shraddha Kapoor, who seems to be playing a Pakistani, mouthing some dialogue and making fun of Dhawan. In response, Dhawan relies on the stereotype of Pakistani cricketers not knowing English to offend Kapoor.

The video moves to Prabhudeva, who later gives some gyan on how the people of the two nations are always fighting on nationality and religion, and Nora Fatehi who shows us some impressive dance moves. It is revealed that some dancers are using their talent to help poor Indian and Pakistani immigrants, which of course would bring our lead pair together and would probably make the climax scene.

The trailer features three songs out of which two are remixes. The first song is the remake of Prabhudeva’s cult song Mukkala Muqabla Laila. The second song is the new version of 1988 songs Mile Sur Mera Tumhara which was made to promote national integration. There is also one original song Aaj Mere Lai Dua Karo.

Directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Lizelle D’Souza, Street Dancer 3D is scheduled to be released on 24 January next year.
