Superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday claimed to helped Uttar Pradesh (UP) farmers in paying off their loans. Bachchan helped over 1398 farmers from the state UP to pay off their loans, which when amounted resulted in Rs 4.05 crore in total. Big B termed it as “satisfying experience”, on his blog.
In his blog, Bachchan posted, “A list of over 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh have been identified and their loans amounting to over 5.5 crore shall be taken care of. The assistance from the Bank in question assists in its execution and its benevolence.”
He further wrote, “44 families diversified into 112 entities were given out in my small way from Maharashtra. The bravehearts, the shaheed… More needs to be done from other parts of the country too … it shall be done.”
Sharing his views on the blog, he wrote, “Gratitude leans across to the desire of removing some of the burdens that farmers continue to suffer from. It was Maharashtra first, when over 350 farmers loans were taken care of… now it’s UP and 1398 of them that had outstandings of loans on banks has been done with an outlay of 4.05 crore… and the inner peace it generates when the desired is completed.”
