Actress Surveen Chawla has been receiving rave reviews for her performance as Jojo Mascarenhas in the second season of Netflix Original series ‘Sacred Games.’

But Surveen has experienced tough days when she had started out. In a recent Interview with Bollywood Hungama, the talented actress talked about the first ever audition she gave.

It was for Ekta Kapoor’s television serial ‘Kahiin To Hoga’ and Surveen thought she was hideous in the audition. She, however, managed to bag the role of Charu Sinha Garewal.

“[.] I was such a fresher, right out of my city and came here and in three days somebody said listen you must go and audition.” She said.

The ‘Sacred Games’ actress thought she was not skilled enough to even audition and wonders what Ekta saw in her.

Surveen also talked about the first rejection she faced. It was for a film the name of which she doesn’t remember.

“I came back home crying, like really badly.” It during the phase when she was trying to transition from television to films and the rejection hit her hard.

The actress had recently opened up in an interview about the occasions when she faced casting couch in the industry.

Surveen has also acted in films like ‘Hum Tum Shabana’, ‘Ugly’, ‘Hate Story 2’ and ‘Parched.’

Apart from Bollywood films and television, Surveen has been a part of several Punjabi language films as well.
