Sonchiriya, starring Sushant Singh RajputBhumi PednekarManoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana is struggling at the box office as it is facing strong competition from Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon‘s ‘Luka Chuppi‘. The film showed minimal growth on Saturday as it collected ₹1.50 crores from its first-day collection ₹1 crores and on Sunday it collected ₹1.50 crores. The film has only managed to collect a total of ₹3.70 crores. There are reports that the artists are not happy with the size of the release, but the film was released across 720 screens in India and 220 screens overseas, making it 940 screens worldwide.

Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest collection of the film and he wrote, “#SonChiriya falls flat on Day 2… Minimal growth on Sat is not good news at all, seals the fate… Fri 1.20 cr, Sat 1.50 cr. Total: ₹ 2.70 cr. India biz”

The movie revolves around Sushant Singh Rajput and Manoj Bajpayee, leading a bunch of bandits struggling to make a decision about surrendering to the cops. ‘Sonchiriya’ showcases a small town ruled by dacoits where multiple-gangs fight over to attain power. The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Production and Screenplay and the dialogues have been written by Sudip Sharma and the music is given by Vishal Bhardwaj.
