As the investigation about actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death continues, the Mumbai Police will now record another person’s statement. Kangana Ranaut is the person, who will get her statement recorded, an official confirmed. Though, the police is yet to send her a formal intimation for the same.

On June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide. Initial investigation revealed it to be a case of suicide, though soon rumours started circulating around his death. Many claimed it as a planned murder. One of them is Kangana Ranaut.

When the news of his death broke out, Kangana called the reason of his death as being subjected to nepotism and unfair treatment by biggies of Bollywood. She alleged that, Rajput became a victim of Bollywood’s cartel run by popular figures such as Karan Johar.

Recently in an interview with ‘The Times Of India’, she said that her Manikarnika : The Queen Of Jhansi co-star, Ankita Lokhande allegedly said that “Sushant could not bear so much humiliation”. Further she claimed that Lokhande told her, that Rajput was “exactly like Kangana in his demeanor”. Albeit with a difference.

While, several people have criticized Ranaut for making Rajput’s death as a tool to grab attention over her own struggles. On this she said : “Yes, it is about Sushant, but it is also about my life, because these people are still ganging up on me.”

For recording Ranaut’s statement, the police had tried to get her back from Manali on July 3. One police official though said, that she might give it via an email.

People who have already recorded their statements are director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Mukesh Chabbra, Sanjana Sanghi, Rhea Chakraborty, film critic Rajeev Masand among others. Police have recorded statements of about 36 people so far.

On Saturday, director Aditya Chopra recorded his statement.
