Post the Pulwama terror attack that killed 44 CRPF soldier, the political party Maharastra Navnirman Sena (MNS) led by Raj Thackeray clearly said to Bollywood to drop Pakistani artists. The political party has warned the music label companies to completely avoid working with Pakistani singers.

“We have verbally communicated to Indian music companies like T-Series, Sony Music, Venus, Tips Music etc to not work with Pakistani singers. These companies should stop it immediately or we will take action in our own style,” said the head of MNS Chitrapat Sena, Amey Khopkar to PTI.

Recently, the Indian music record label, T-Series did a contract with Pakistani singers, Atif Aslam, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for new songs. After the news, the record label has dropped the idea of working with Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. As a result, Atif’s new song ”’Baarishein” has been dropped by the label.

At the time of Uri attacks as well, The party led by Raj Thackeray asked Pakistani artists to leave the country in 48 hours and celebrities like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan left the country. Producer Ronnie Screwvala also has announced that they will donate ₹1 crore to the Indian Army Welfare Fund.
