After working in Sujoy Ghosh’s successful mystery thriller film Badla this year, actor Taapsee Pannu is all set explore the romantic thriller space in a new film. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, she has been finalised as the leading lady in Anand L Rai and Bhushan Kumar production. Actor Vikrant Massey will be seen playing the male lead in the film that is expected to go on the floors in January next year.
The report quoted a source close to the development as saying, “The makers thought a fresh pair would work in the film’s favour as it will keep the mystery element intact, since there will be no pre-conceived notions about them as a couple.”
The untitled film will be shot in North though the exact location has not been finalised yet. “But since the story is set in that part of the country, the makers want to keep it authentic,” the source added.
The film in question will be directed by ad filmmaker-turned-director Vinil Mathew who made his directorial debut in the arena of feature films around six years ago with Hasee Toh Phasee. He did not make any other film after Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer.
