Taapsee Pannu has been receiving heaps of praises of her performance in the recently released ‘Saand Ki Aankh.’

She recently a picture from the film on her Instagram profile, celebrating the third week theatrical run.

She captioned it: “CHEERS!
3 weeks back if we said we will stay in theatres for Atleast next 3 weeks many would’ve laughed at us but here we are….. “kyunki log toh sada se hi haste aaye hai tai… 😜” Standing tall in week 3 !

‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is directed by debutant Tushar Hiranandani and stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.

It was based on the lives of Chandro and Prakshi Tomar, the women who started sharpshooting in their 60s.

To prepare for their roles, both the actresses underwent shooting training and learnt the western Uttar Pradesh dialect.

The film was released on 25 October and met with positive critical feedback and has been a moderate success at the box-office with an estimate collection of 18.77 crores.

Taapsee has recently finished filming for the female-centric flick ‘Thappad’, directed by Anubhav Sinha, which will release on 6 March next year.

It will mark the second collaboration between Taapsee and Anubhav after the 2018 film ‘Mulk’, which was a critical and commercial success.
