Actress Taapsee Pannu surprised everyone with her glamours avatar in her upcoming movie titled “Judwaa 2“, which is directed by David Dhawan, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, and written by Sajid Farhad. The movie features Varun Dhawan in a double role as estranged twins opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. ‘Judwaa 2’ is a sequel to David Dhawan’s 1997 film Judwaa.
Earlier, Taapsee Pannu was seen in an intense act in Pink and Naam Shabana. Taapsee says that it was fun shooting up for her upcoming film. However, she says that it was not that easy. Taapsee says, “Oonchi Hai Building” in London. “It was bone-chilling cold and I was wearing a really short dress. To add to the stress, I was in the same frame as two really hot stars, Varun (Dhawan) and Jacqueline (Fernandez).”
Taapsee credits director David Dhawan for her glamorous avatar, pointing out that David is very much specific in her instructions to stylist Tanya Ghavri on her wardrobe. She says, “My hair had to be done according to my outfits and for every scene I’d try a minimum of 10 outfits. For the songs, it was 20-30, the trial sessions were crazy. I play a college student and the look had to have the easy-breezy vibe.” She added, “It was not just about being thin, it was about how every muscle looked onscreen. Varun and Jackie have the best bodies and I had to match up.”
She followed a proper diet under a supervision of a naturopath for a few months till the film rolled. She says, “I’m glad we wrapped up in four months, if I had to follow this for a year, I’d have gone mad!” she rolls her eyes heavenwards, admitting that as soon as the last shot was canned in Mauritius, she binged on everything. “My body went into shock with all the food I was stuffing in.”
As soon as the trailer released people started comparing her with Katrina Kaif because she also wears the same swim suit in Bang Bang. On this Taapsee says, “I am used to comparisons with or without a swimsuit. Thank god I don’t have a film lineage otherwise I’d be compared to my parents.”
Her co-star Varun Dhawan call her Paresh Rawal despite that she is an engineering graduate. On this Taapsee Says, “Varun and I have known each other since Chashme Baddoor and since we’re the same age, we hit it off. He calls me Paresh Rawal because he finds me funny, and says he hasn’t laughed so much with any another actress.”
While she was shooting for the song “Oonchi Hai Building”. producer Sajid Nadiadwala noted that she is a great dancer. Taapsee says that she is trained in Kathak for eight years and she has also learnt western styles for four years. Taapsee said, “I told him the only thing I’m confident about is my dancing. He remembered that and before I started shooting “Tan Tana Tan”, he told me to tell Ganesh master (choreographer Ganesh Acharya) to give me some difficult steps so I could show the world I could dance too. It was really sweet of him.”
Taapsee will be next seen in the Anubhav Sinha’s social drama “Mulk” and she will also be doing the remake of a Spanish film with John Abraham. About her upcoming ventures, Taapsee said, “They are serious thrillers or dramas because the idea is to not repeat myself. After the Judwaa 2 trailer release, some people took to social media to express their disappointment saying they expect me to do only meaningful roles. But I don’t want to get stereotyped because then people won’t take notice of me.”
Talking much about the movie ‘Judwaa 2’ is a story of twins (Prem and Raja) they both are born in a businessman family but they are separated at birth when their father exposes their smuggling racket. In the movie, Varun Dhawan would be seen playing the double role of Prem and Raja. Where Raja can be seen in a rowdy avatar with a long hair and a charming smile. On the other hand, Prem is geeky and nerdy. In the movie, Varun can be seen doing romance with two hotties, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu.
