Actress Taapsee Pannu is all geared up for her Diwali release Saand Ki Aankh. The film is a biographical drama based on two old women sharpshooters. Taapsee is starring in movie along with Bhumi Pednekar and the actress recently talked about the difficulties faces on working in movie with other lead female.
Taapsee told Mumbai Mirror, “There have been times when actresses have backed out at the last minute because it was a two-woman project and left me fuming. Thankfully, there are others secure enough to share screen space. As women, we should be there for each other”.
There is no doubt to the fact that it’s very difficult to bring two leading men or two leading women in a movie together. Hrithik Roshan had recently talked about it on the success party of his film War, that it’s very difficult for two leading actors to come together in a film until and unless there is a tremendous amount of respect for each other’s craft.
War director Siddharth Anand had also revealed how it’s near to impossible to bring two leading actors working together.
Talking about Taapsee, we have seen her work in movies starring another actresses, be it Pink, Mission Mangal, Judwaa 2 and now Saand Ki Aankh.
Before taking up this latest project, Taapsee had said, “I wanted to do a film that has equal roles for two heroines. I got to know that team is working with one such story and it is a story of two women who lived their lives as per the desire of their parents.”
Another controversy that got along with the movie was when people started questioning on the casting of the movie and why younger actresses have been casted for doing elderly roles and why not give such roles to older actresses.
Actress Neena Gupta had said that at least roles of her age should be given to people of her age.

Taapsee had later put out a really strong yet articulate statement where she said that why din’t people question when Aamir Khan worked in movies like 3 Idiots as a college student and when Ayushmann Khurrana played a homosexual when he isn’t a homosexual himself.
Taapsee had tried to hint that why only women are questioned on the characters they play.
