Actress Tabu is easily of the finest actresses of the Indian cinema. Her acting skills never fail to garner critical appreciation.
Recently, the actress shared a special picture on her Instagram profile. One of the most significant films of her career ‘Chandni Bar’ finished 18 years since its release.
She wrote a witty caption: “Chandni Bar adult ho gayi.

‘Chandni Bar’ was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and depicted the lives of bar dancers, underworld gangsters and prostitutes. It was released on 28 September, 2001.
The film, also starring Atul Kulkarni, Rajpal Yadav and Vinay Apte, received critical acclaim. Tabu’s role of bar dancer Mumtaz Ali Ansari, had earned her a National Film Award for Best Actress.
Tabu was last seen acting along with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in ‘Bharat’ and in Luv Ranjan’s romantic comedy ‘De De Pyaar De’. Both of which proved to be major box-office success.
Last year, she was lauded for her performance as a vamp Simi, in Sriram Raghavan’s thriller ‘Andhadhun.’
The film opened to rave reviews from critics and has so far minted an estimate of 400 crores at the box-office.
Tabu is currently filming ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ with Saif Ali Khan, which is scheduled to release on 29 November, 2019.
