A new poster of the upcoming film Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior has been unveiled today. The makers have also announced the release date of the trailer. The trailer of the film will be launched on 19 November.

The latest poster features Ajay Devgn in the foreground with a fort and flying arrows in the background. Ajay looks ferocious in Maratha costume. Sporting a sword with the intense look on his face, Ajay fits the character perfectly.

The movie which is a biographical period drama also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kajol in the lead roles.

Film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh took to his social media account to share the poster. He also made the announcement about the release date of the trailer. He wrote, “Trailer on 19 Nov 2019… New poster of #Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior… Directed by Om Raut… 10 Jan 2020 release. #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior #TanhajiTrailerOnNov19”

Ajay will be seen playing the titular role in the film that is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, an unsung warrior of glorious Indian history and the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who was celebrated for his role in the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 AD.

Saif Ali Khan will be seen playing the role of Udaybhan Rathod and Kajol will be seen in the role of Tanaji’s wife Savitri Malusare.

The movie also stars Sharad Kelkar, Jagapathi Babu, Devdutta Nage, Pankaj Tripathi, Neha Sharma, Ajinkya Deo, Kailash Waghmare, Hardik Sangani, Luke Kenny, and Vipul Gupta.

The principal photography for the film commenced on 25 September 2018. It was scheduled for a worldwide release on 27 December 2019 but the release date has been pushed forward to 10 January 2020 where it will be clashing with Deepika Padukone starrer and Meghna Gulzar directorial Chhapaak.

Ajay Devgn was last seen in De De Pyaar De opposite Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. He is currently shooting for Abhishek Sharma’s Maidaan where he stars as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.

He also has a cameo in Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. He is also gearing up for the release of Abhishek Dudhaiya’s Bhuj: The Pride Of India.
