75-year-old Indian Actor Amitabh Bachchan has always been well known for being part of many campaigns for companies all over the world. For this 2018 cricket season as well, the former politician has landed a role in the advertisement of the television provider Tata Sky’s latest campaign. The #HarSceneKaMazaaLo campaign brings back the beloved actor posing as a well-known Bengali Critic who watches super-hit movies and rates them on a television provided by Tata Sky.

The company has initiated this campaign to promote its business by offering 81 movie channels per television set. This campaign is intended to span over 9 short advertisement films which are to be released over the month of May – during the prime of the cricket season in India.

The first part of this series was recently uploaded on YouTube on the official channel of Tata Sky. The entire advertisement consisted of 20 seconds of Amitabh Bachchan pretending to rate some popular movies by Shah Rukh Khan. The advertisement was subtitled in hardcoded English subtitles, thereby widening the range of their target audience.

The all-time popular actor has previously been involved in many other worldwide long-term campaigns like UNICEF as well as local advertising campaigns for Maggi and Cadbury Dairy Milk. Amitabh’s nominal partnership with these companies have benefitted all of them thoroughly and Tata Sky is bound to receive a new batch of consumers by the end of this month as well.
