During her concert at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, Taylor Swift paused for a while to speak a few words in honour of everyone who had suffered from the bomb blast at Manchester Arena during the previous year. As she arrived in England as part of her Europe tour, Taylor decided to dedicate her performance on Friday night to all the people in Manchester as a tribute to the immense strength and resilience shown by the people of the area.

Beginning her short speech with a show of gratitude towards all the people who had come to see her perform in the stadium, Taylor expressed her immense love and support towards everybody who had in some form fallen victim to the heinous crime, praising Manchester on uniting together after the unfair deaths of 22 people who had been present at the Arena during Ariana Grande’s concert, where the blast took place. Taylor Swift addressed the thousands of Swifties sitting within the arena, showering them with praises for bearing through the traumatic event, while still maintaining their innocence, and not letting anyone dull the joy and excitement that rang within the blood of all Mancunians.

With the final heartfelt refrain of how honoured Taylor felt to perform for Manchester that night, the popular pop star burst into an acoustic version of her song Dancing with Our Hands Tied from her recent album, Reputation. After Friday, Taylor Swift is scheduled for another performance in Manchester on Saturday night, following which she is expected to cover the rest of the UK and Ireland with a total of six shows spanning across the month of June.
