Considering the greatest romance of all time Casablanca, it teaches us as per Love is concerned, the more you change yourself, the more you remain the same. When you don’t actually care about what others say or think about you, that’s the time you are truly living your life to the fullest. I don’t know how but today I just recalled this scene from the 2012 film Teri Meri Kahaani, this scene is just before the song -That’s All I Really Wanna Do begins, which is also the start of a new relationship or a bond between Krish (Shahid Kapoor) and Radha (Priyanka Chopra) in the film.
Teri Meri Kahaani is not that epic romance but it portrays that time and people can change but emotions are always the same and will remain unchanged. The story here goes within more than a hundred years with three love stories at different times altogether, in 1910, 1960, and 2012 respectively. The stories might seem uninteresting but the emotions portrayed through these three stories are portrayed in a way that this particular arc and the songs make you fall in love with the film.
Though many things in these films seem very unrealistic at a point, the recreation of the 60s film industry is what I loved the most in the film. Not a unique concept of the film as there are many films or book that has inspired Teri Meri Kahaani. The originality in music is somehow the best part of this film, ultimately as we know music matters the most in Indian Cinema when it mainly comes to romantic genre films. I had watched this film somewhere back in 2013, yet I recall the story. Not an epic romance but you can watch Teri Meri Kahaani.
