American romantic comedy film directed by Peter Segal and written by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Justin Zackham, starring Jennifer Lopez as the lead character, ‘Second Act’ is going to release worldwide this week. It will be the only Hollywood release this week.
The film also stars, Vanessa Hudgens, Leah Remini, Annaleigh Ashford, Dan Bucatinsky, Freddie Stroma, Milo Ventimiglia, Treat Williams, and Larry Miller in pivotal roles.
The first trailer of the film was released about five months back and it features Lopez as a 40-year-old single mother who gets a chance to fulfill her dreams but with a big lie.
The synopsis of the trailer reads, “Second Act is a comedy in the vein of Working Girl and Maid In Manhattan. Jennifer Lopez stars as Maya, a 40-year-old woman struggling with frustrations from unfulfilled dreams. Until that is, she gets the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as book smarts and that it is never too late for a Second Act.”
