Small screen actress Tinaa Datta says that she is very much fine with flaunting her body and locking her lips if the character demands it. Tinaa rose to popularity from the famous show titled ‘Uttaran’, where she played the role of Ichcha Bharti. The show almost ran for six years and almost after three years she bags her new project after the show ‘Uttaran’. Now, she is gearing up for her upcoming mythological show titled ‘Karmphal Data Shani’.
Tinaa says that she was mentally prepared for the wait and she very well knew that it would be taking her some time to get rid of the baggage of Ichcha (the character which she played in her previous show ‘Uttaran’). She played the role for almost six years and her role has created the etched in the audience’s mind. However, she says that there are some people who still address her as ‘Ichcha’. There was a time when she got depressed up because her savings were drying up. She says that she is fortunate that money was not an issue for her, she was very much patient and sensible enough to understand that the things will take time to materialize on the small screen.
However, she says that her family and her friends were always there and they all stood up to help her in her bad times. Earlier, she was in talks with the several projects and there were some of the projects which did not work out because of the producers were having budget issues and the rest failed to take off. She was also been offered parts of the show post the time leap but she was not much keen on them. Now, she feels that she is glad that she did not take those shows went off the air after.
In her upcoming show, Tinaa will be paired opposite actor Rohit Khurana, he had initially played her husband on the show titled ‘Uttaran’. However, she said that doing a mythological show is not easy. She was not planning to do a mythological show because she believes that such shows demand a lot of hard work and they are usually very challenging. Moreover, she says that the costumes which they have to wear in the show are also very heavy and the Hioni also has to be chaste. She feels that being a Bengali, she would be taking some time to get into the character she said yes to the character because she found her character and her looks very unique and she says that is a complete contrast to what she has done so far. She believes that the character which she will be playing soon is very similar to her as well.
When asked the actress that what kind of characters she would love to play on the screen? She says that she would love to play the bold characters on the screen however, she feels that is the possible only on the small screen. Moreover, she says that she is very much comfortable flaunting her body and locking her lips if the characters demand it. She waited too long to make her come back on the screen again while her co-actors have already moved forward in their careers. Many people do not know that the makers of the show ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ was earlier approached her for the lead character but later the role went to Rashami Desai.
Tinaa says that she is not a kind of person who will feel insecure and she is glad that her friend Rashami is playing the part in the show. She feels that Rashami fits in the show better than her. She thinks that she would have look petite in front of the actor Sidharth Shukla. She never feels bad watching her co-actors on the screen because she feels that they all are her friends and she is happy that they are doing so good in their life. Moreover, she says that she follows the Rashami’s show regularly and she does give her feedbacks.
However, she clarifies that it does not mean that she was not getting offers, she has been getting offers from the Big Boss for two years in a row but she refuses to take it up because she feels that she is misfit and she is outspoken, upfront and not manipulative and she feels that such requirements do not go along with the show.
