Toilet: Ek Prem Katha collections—Akshay Kumar's social satire earns over Rs 120 cr​!

Akshay KumarBhumi Pednekar‘s movie “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”, which released on August 11 has entered into Rs 100 crore club. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha marks Akshay’s eight movie to enter into a 100 crore film and 5th back to back movie to enter this prestigious club. The movie is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey. The movie features Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, with Anupam Kher, and Sana Khan in supporting roles.

On the first week, the movie collects Rs 96.05 crore and it became the highest week 1 grosser. However, the movie faced a competition with Bareilly Ki Barfi & Annabelle, but still, it shined despite the screens being taken away in its second week. On its second Monday, the movie collected Rs 2.60crore. Now, the movie stands at the total collection of Rs 120.15 crore at the box office.

Yesterday, Bollywood Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the movies new Box Office collection on his Twitter account saying, “#ToiletEkPremKatha [Week 2] Fri 4 cr, Sat 6.75 cr, Sun 8.25 cr, Mon 2.60 cr, Tue 2.50 cr. Total: ₹ 120.15 cr. India biz. #TEPK”

The movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, which is in support of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to improve the sanitation conditions of the rural areas. The main motive of the movie is to focus on the important subject of building and using toilets in the country. The movie which has gone tax-free in certain places.
