Toilet Ek Prem Katha to enter Rs 100 cr club, Akshay Kumar’s fifth century in 20 months!

Akshay KumarBhumi Pednekar‘s movie “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha”, which released on August 11 has entered into Rs 100 crore club. “Toilet: Ek Prem Katha” is Akshay Kumar’s fifth consecutive hit in the last 20 months. The movie which is in support of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to improve the sanitation conditions of the rural areas. The main motive of the movie is to focus on the important subject of building and using toilets in the country. The movie which has gone tax-free in certain places.

Today, Bollywood Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on his Twitter account saying, “#ToiletEkPremKatha is Akshay Kumar’s 8th ₹ 100 cr grosser… The 2nd highest, after Salman Khan [11 ₹ 100 cr grossers]. India biz. #TEPK”

About the success of the movie, Akshay Kumar said, “I never make a social film with a lot of commercial material; I make sure that there is a love story. To be honest I remember the love story more than anything else in this (Toilet: Ek Prem Katha) film.” Now, Akshay has been given a name called Bharat Kumar like Manoj Kumar in the 1970s.
