The third installment of Dhamaal franchise, ‘Total Dhamaal‘ starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Riteish Deshmukh in important roles has already proved to be the highest grossing film of the series. The film has now crossed 100 crore benchmark and has managed to stay steady in its second weekend, in spite of hurdles like ‘Luka Chuppi’ and ‘Sonchiriya’.
The film opened on a non-holiday and still became the second highest opener of the year till now after Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Gully Boy’.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the Box Office figures of the film. He wrote, “#TotalDhamaal catches speed on [second] Sat and jumps on Sun… Massive gains from mass circuits… Proves, yet again, entertainers having mandate of families/kids will always work at BO.”

The multi-starrer film has a good start at the commercial circuits with an earning of ₹16.50 crore on its opening day at the box office. ‘Total Dhamaal’ observed an excellent jump on its second and third day at the box office where it collected ₹20.40 crores and ₹25.50 crores respectively. It is the highest first-weekend collection of the year beating the numbers of the last week collection of ‘Gully Boy’ by ₹10 crores.
The film failed to impress movie critics but managed to make a mark on Box Office as well as among the audience.
