The multi-starrer film has a good start at the commercial circuits with an earning of ₹16.50 crore on its opening day at the box office. ‘Total Dhamaal’ observed an excellent jump on its second and third day at the box office where it collected ₹20.40 crores and ₹25.50 crores respectively. It is the highest first-weekend collection of the year beating the numbers of the last week collection of ‘Gully Boy’ by ₹10 crores.
The film stars Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Riteish Deshmukh in important roles. Indra Kumar directed the movie and is bankrolled by Fox Star Studios, Ajay Devgn Films, and Indra Kumar.
‘Total Dhamaal’ has good use of VFX, but the film’s screenplay and punchlines. The loud comedy is full of trains ramming cars, roaring wild cats, and helicopters crash landing. The first half of the movie is breezy while the second one is overcrowded with many characters in a week plot.
