Actor Sunny Singh is all set for his upcoming film Ujda Chaman. The film is special for him because it deals with an unusual subject that is premature balding and also because it is his first solo project.

While the actor has featured in successful films before, this will be the first time that there is no other lead actor in the film to share the responsibility and the entire film rests on his shoulder.

Talking about his feelings about his first solo lead film, Sunny Singh told The Times of India that he enjoys this feeling and it gives him joy to see himself on the poster solo.

“It feels really good, especially to see yourself featuring on the poster, solo (laughs!). I was waiting for such a project. I also wanted to do something different. I had faith and knew that one day, something like this will come along. When I was approached for this film, I got excited hearing the concept and details about my character,” he said.

After making his debut in one of the most popular serials on television Kasautii Zindagii Kay more than a decade ago and starring in several others, Sunny Singh made his debut on big screen with a small role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s comedy Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji that fared poorly at the box office.

After featuring in another commercial failure Akaash Vani, the actor received success and recognition in 2015 from Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. He saw his biggest hit in 2018 in the form of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety where he again collaborated with Luv Ranjan.

After Ujda Chaman that is coming on 1 November, Sunny Singh will appear in Jai Mummy Di, a romantic comedy starring Sonnalli Seygall, Supriya Pathak, and Poonam Dillon, directed by Navjot Gulati. The film is scheduled to be released on 17 January 2020
