Dolly Kitty aur Woh Chamakte Sitare

The pandemic has somehow given a rise to many digital platforms, be it for any categories. And OTT platforms have turned into virtual theatres where many filmmakers and production companies are finding their ways for their film’s release. And with the social media campaign #ComeonNetflix, Netflix India has announced 17 new Indian titles for the coming months including six new movies and two new TV series.

Among these upcoming films, we have the multi-starrer comedy-drama Ludo which features Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Pankaj Tripathi; the Sanjay Dutt starrer drama Torbaaz; the crime thriller Raat Akeli Hai which stars Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui; the drama Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare featuring Konkona Sen Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar; the rom-com Ginny Weds Sunny starring Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey; and the animated Bombay Rose. The two series include Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy with Tabu and Ishaan Khatter and young adult romance Mismatched with Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf and many more which we have earlier stated.

And out of these 17 titles, it’s pretty difficult to judge which one will be quality-oriented. However, we have shortlisted some of the interesting stories which we loved after reading their synopsis.

The film features an interesting story where a struggling director (Anurag Kashyap as himself) kidnaps the daughter of superstar AK (played by Anil Kapoor) and shoots the real events in a real-time mode, sounds interesting, isn’t it? The film is directed and produced by Vikramaditya Motwayne. The film is in talks due to its interesting plot and fans want more insights from this one. Hence this one is one of the interesting upcoming projects.

Dolly Kitty aur Woh Chamakte Sitare

Directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, the film features Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sen Sharma as Dolly & Kitty. The story follows the story of two cousins as they search for freedom in the patriarchal society. The film also stars Vikrant Massey, Amol Parashar, and Aamir Bashir. Bhumi and Konkona will be seen for the first time sharing screen space, which will be quite exciting to watch.

Raat Akeli Hai

The name Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte is enough to attract the viewers. The film Raat Akeli Hai is based on a high profile murder case in a small town. The film is expected to be a twisted thriller that will go deeper into the roots of India’s family system. Directed by Honey Trehan, the film also stars Aditya Srivastava, Ila Arun, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Shweta Tripathi, Nishant Dahiya, Khalid Tyabji, and Shivani Raghuvanshi.
