Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ is running in its third week and inching closer to the 200 crore mark with each passing day. The film is still earning in crores as it added ₹3.33 crores on its third Wednesday. Till date, the film has collected a hefty amount of ₹167.48 crores.

The film has crossed the lifetime collections of Salman Khan starrer ‘Race 3’ and Tiger Shroff’s ‘Baaghi 2’, both of which had collected ₹166.40 crores and ₹166.38 crores, respectively. ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ has made remarkable biz in spite of being a medium budget film.

Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared the box office numbers on his twitter handle. He wrote, ”#UriTheSurgicalStrike continues its winning streak… Remarkable biz on weekdays increases its chances of hitting ₹ 200 cr… [Week 3] Fri 4.40 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 9.20 cr, Mon 3.43 cr, Tue 3.34 cr, Wed 3.33 cr. Total: ₹ 167.48 cr. India biz #Uri”.

The film’s business has been affected by the release of Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer ‘Thackeray‘ and Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi‘ last week.

Aditya Dhar directorial has been financed by Ronnie Screwvala and it stars Vicky KaushalYami GautamMohit RainaParesh Rawal, and Kirti Kulhari.

The film is based on the surgical strike carried out on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army in answer to the Uri terror attack which killed 19 unarmed army men. The strike destroyed several terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control and killed around 50 terrorists.
