‘Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ has completed its third week at the box office and has collected ₹36 crores net with a drop of 42% from its previous week’s collection. The film has managed to collect a good amount of ₹170 crores net, which makes it the highest grossing small-medium budget film ever.
Recently, the film crossed the lifetime collections of films like ‘Race 3’ and ‘Baaghi 2’, both of which had collected ₹166.40 crores and ₹166.38 crores, respectively. The film collected ₹36 crores net in its third week, which is greater than the ‘Week 3’ biz of ‘Sanju’ (₹31.62 crores), ‘Padmaavat’ (₹31.72 crores) and ‘Simmba’ (₹20.06 crores).

‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ has a good chance of reaching the 200 crore club if it continued to collect like ‘week 3’ in the fourth week as well. The film collected ₹71.23 crores in the first week, ₹62.76 crores in the second week, and ₹36 crores approx in the third week. Till date, the film has collected a total of ₹169 crores, approximately.
Aditya Dhar directorial has been financed by Ronnie Screwvala and it stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Paresh Rawal, and Kirti Kulhari.
The film is based on the surgical strike carried out on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army in answer to the Uri terror attack which killed 19 unarmed army men. The strike destroyed several terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control and killed around 50 terrorists.
