Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ became the 10th highest grosser as it crossed the lifetime collection of ‘Simmba‘ on Monday. The major difference between ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ and ‘Simmba’ is the business in South India where Vicky Kaushal starrer will probably finish around ₹25 crores is higher and in other circuits ‘Simmba’ is ahead.

Uri has collected ₹71.23 crores in the first week, ₹62.76 crores in the second week, and ₹36 crores approx in the third week, ₹29.30 in the fourth week, ₹18.74 in the fifth week, ₹11.58 crores in the sixth week, ₹6.66 crores in the seventh week and ₹35 lakhs on Friday, ₹75 lakhs on Saturday, ₹1.15 crores on Sunday, and ₹65 lakhs on Monday.

Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest figures and news around the film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and He wrote, ”#UriTheSurgicalStrike continues its incredible run… Biz on [eighth] Mon [#Mahashivratri] is higher than [eighth] Fri… Crosses *lifetime biz* of #Simmba… Eyes ₹ 250 cr… [Week 8] Fri 38 lakhs, Sat 80 lakhs, Sun 1.18 cr, Mon 67 lakhs. Total: ₹ 240.38 cr. India biz”.

Aditya Dhar directorial has been financed by Ronnie Screwvala and it stars Vicky KaushalYami GautamMohit RainaParesh Rawal, and Kirti Kulhari.

The film is based on the surgical strike carried out on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army in answer to the Uri terror attack which killed 19 unarmed army men. The strike destroyed several terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control and killed around 50 terrorists.
