Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ has completed its seventh week at the box office and has collected ₹4 crore. The film has crossed the numbers of all the films for week seven in 3 days barring ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. In recent times the best seventh-week collection was of ‘Bahubali: The Conclusion’ with ₹2.46 crores net.

The film has now a total of ₹235 crores and seems to be heading towards a lifetime collection of ₹240 crores net. The film collected ₹71.23 crores in the first week, ₹62.76 crores in the second week, ₹36 crores approx in the third week, ₹29.30 crores in the fourth week, ₹18.73 in the fifth, ₹11.58 crores in the sixth and ₹4 crores in the seventh week.

Uri has done a huge business overseas as films made around Kashmir or Pakistan issue tend to be a no show for the huge Muslim audience overseas. But the film had managed to collect over ₹300 crores worldwide.

Aditya Dhar directorial has been financed by Ronnie Screwvala and it stars Vicky KaushalYami GautamMohit RainaParesh Rawal, and Kirti Kulhari.

The film is based on the surgical strike carried out on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army in answer to the Uri terror attack which killed 19 unarmed army men. The strike destroyed several terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control and killed around 50 terrorists.
